CIS Benchmarks February 2025 Update

The internet is like a big city with lots of streets, buildings, and cars. Just like we have traffic rules and safety measures to keep things running smoothly in a city, we also need guidelines to make sure our online world is safe and secure. That’s where the Center for Internet Security (CIS) comes in! They are like the city planners for the internet, making sure that everything is organized and protected against bad guys who might want to cause trouble.

Every so often, the CIS updates their rules and tips, which they call “Benchmarks,” to keep up with the ever-changing online world. Think of these Benchmarks like updates to the city’s safety codes to make sure everyone is following the latest and best practices.

In February 2025, CIS rolled out some new rules and polished up some old ones to make sure our computers and websites stay safe. Just like a city updates its street signs and traffic lights, CIS updates these Benchmarks to help people understand the best ways to protect their online stuff from thieves and hackers.

Now, you don’t need to be a computer whiz to understand these updates. They are written in a way that’s easy to understand, like simple instructions on how to lock your front door properly. It’s important to follow them because these tips help keep your personal information, like the stuff you do online, away from snoops and crooks.

But, you might be thinking, “This sounds great, but it seems like a lot to handle!” That’s where Diversified Outlook Group comes in. They’re like the friendly neighborhood watch who knows all about these new updates and rules. They can help make sense of it all and guide you in keeping your online world secure.

If you’re interested in learning more about these February 2025 CIS Benchmarks, you can visit the CIS website at this link: www.cisecurity.org/insights/blog/cis-benchmarks-february-2025-update.
